It is simply amazing how fast time flies. I took off from writing on my various blogs over the course of the summer. The time was not wasted though.

Every now and then we really do need to stop and recharge our batteries, otherwise life becomes monotonous.

The really sad part is I got to spend way to much time catching up on the news issues each day. How truly depressing, you would have thought the election cycles where over.

Then you have to ask the question, "Why Is it that all politicians can lie without any consequences what so ever?" Sure we can vote them out during the next election cycle, but usually the damage is done.

It amazes me the level they will go to push a position. It is truly a case of power the root of all evils. And they will step on anyone and everyone to get it.

Be-careful of the Camera

I think this summer has really shown any one seeking the lime-light by entering the political arena had better think about their past…

… Have I ever said anything that was caught on Camera that could come back to hunt me?

Only you know the answer right? Well maybe not — You can see this clearly when a politician gives a speech and spouts out something very controversial caught on camera, only later to deny it also caught on camera.

Maybe they really don’t remember saying it… Alzheimer’s? Maybe or could it be they where just caught up in the moment? Either way, maybe they should just say I don’t recall saying that.

Anyway Summer Is Over Time to Get Back To Work!

Now what am I doing watching that? Well millions of people do, there everyone has incredible talent. Those that make it to the final round are the ones that take ownership of everything they do!

In what ever business we choose, we need to follow some of those same traits that the winners portray. They take ownership of the songs, they make them their own. How can you apply that to your business, can you do it with the same passion?

During the first parts of the season, we find the same kind of people that we have in network marketing. By that I mean those that can take the constructive criticism, embrace it and make corrective actions to ensure that on the final day they will be the ones standing alone.

When I look at so many in that I work with I see that raw talent, and very sharp individuals, yet most of them lack that strong self confidence which they should have

I never could see how people would follow someone who in the beginning clearly stated they never sponsored someone into their business in 6 years! Now there is a problem there, thats like walking around with a black cloud over your head. By that I mean it’s almost impossible not too, unless during that 6 years you looked for every excuse not to get your job done!

Today those same people are around now giving advice, telling you how to build your business, go figure! The one thing we all need to keep in mind is that things change and what appears to be true may not actually be true.

When it comes to customer – downline retention whose responsibility is it? A little over a year ago, I had a few downline members that launched a massive marketing program designed to bring in lots of people. Did it work you bet it did, and frankly I was unhappy.

Still to this day they talk about the great numbers they brought in. What they don’t talk about is that about 60% left within a month and upwards of 90% where gone in four months.

The response was it was the companies fault, not ours! This is one of the biggest misconceptions in network marketing, affiliate program, any other form of home business or even a brick a mortar business.

What is completely clear, was they where in it for only the short term gain, not the long term growth and sustainability of their business.

For years, I was in the aviation industry and watch the same mistakes being made over and over. You’d think they would eventually learn a lesson here. You should never over promise and under deliver.

That is exactly what happened to my former downline members. As soon as the person was on board, the person who sponsored them dropped them like a hot potato it was now the companies problem to retain them.

All of us are in business for a reason; you have to decide what that reason is. From watching years of mistakes, I’d learned a valuable lesson that many will never learn. Referral marketing is probably the most effective method of growing your business, yet if your customers do not trust you, what are your chances of getting a new customer referred to you?

When you plan your business, based on managed growth, you will be in a better position to provide the best customer service and retention. It is far easier and more cost effective to retain a customer then to acquire a new one. So start implementing your customer service – retention plan now!
